Continuous Active Innovation Earns Hungry Caterpillar Pre-school’s 3 rd International Award
In 2007 the Hungry Caterpillar received the Gold International Star for Leadership in Quality at a glittering awards ceremony in Moscow. In November 2008, it received the International Quality Crown Award from the prestigious Business Initiative Directions (B.I.D.) at a black-tie gala in London. And in April 2009, it garnered yet more international accolades by earning the dual honours of Total Quality Management (TQM) accreditation and Total Quality Customer Satisfaction (TQCS) accreditation from the French-based Association OtherWays Management & Consulting.
The Hungry Caterpillar's latest dual wins were preceded by the receipt of the International Gold Award for Business & Prestige in Berlin, Germany. This important stepping stone recognizes quality business practices at every level of operation, and is a prerequisite for TQCS accreditation.
TQCS accreditation attests the customer-centric service culture of the companies it honours. The methodology behind the TQCS accreditation system employs a collection of constantly upgraded qualitative and quantitative data
points that identify and benchmark good corporate practices for customer retention and sustainable growth in a developed international market. Extensive background research on the nominated companies then pits each nominee against these pre-set benchmarks.
Similarly, TQM honours companies that demonstrate a customer-first orientation, a quest for continuous improvement, investment in research and analysis, and ongoing staff training.
The Hungry Caterpillar was deemed worthy of both TQM and TQCS accreditation, not only on the strength of its well-documented customer service and subsequent high standards of customer satisfaction, but
also on the basis of its unfolding strategy for expansion.
From its inception in Singapore to the launch of its ambitious expansion programme and franchising network in the region, it has proven itself to be a company with a truly international vision.
Indeed, the Hungry Caterpillar's philosophy and innovative 'Project Approach' teaching style is gleaned from a review of the best early years teaching practices from around the world. But rather than just a
'borrower' and a follower, it aims to be a leader in early childhood education. Given the string of wards to its name to date, it is on track and on schedule with its plans to become a major player in the global childcare and education industry.
The dual TQM and TQCS awards provide timely for Hungry
Caterpillar as parent company Learning Cocoon International
launches an initiative into the rapidly emerging infant care market. In response to a growing demand for a baby-centric lifestyle brand, it will soon announce the launch of an exciting new brand that promises to be like no other in Asia, if not the world.
